Question Five - Evaluation

From this interview I have learnt that our predicted target audience is correct. That people our age would like to watch the movie because of the dark theme and the cliff hanger it leaves you on. Building the suspense. From the interviewee words it was clear that they had enjoyed the title sequence and it was a positive way to start of the movie. From the title sequence he was not bored but engaged within what was happening.

Furthermore, they enjoyed the match cuts and camera skills as they suited the theme of the films and our audience. The camera work and editing was age suitable for our audience. The rough cut gave us both positive and constructive criticism which helped us with our final title sequence. We were told that the title sequence with no sound made it boring and loses interest. So we planned to include a age friendly theme song to match both theme and audience.

We got our audience from our twitter page which is where the interviewee had found out about the screening of our film. We gained further audience by uploading the title sequence on Vimeo.

Thanks to this interview, I found out that the title sequence was filmed nicely with good editing skills. Also the theme was suitable for the target audience.

I believe there are many parts of the film that appeals to our audience as there is an unusual storyline for  a youth drama film. 1 part that appeals is when they see that there is no body where he thinks he can see one. This will be appealing as the audience would not have seen it coming, this part of the film would draw them in and want to know what else is going to happen. Our film would have appealed to the target audience as they will not see a film like this anywhere else.
