Research- How to use motion

When you open up motions you will get the option to choose what title sequence you wish to use to match your film that you want to create

This is what you will see when you open up the template that you have chosen

This is my first title of my title sequence. To create this you have to pause the clip where you can see the words 'input text here' and doing clip to be able to type in new words. You are then able to change the font type and the size.

This is my final title in my title sequence. I only have two as this is all the template allowed me to type in. To add this text you will have to complete the same steps to do this one.

Whilst doing this I had some problems as I didn't quiet understand how to use motion pictures as it isn't as easy as it looks.

Planning-Macro Elements

Institution/Studio

The institution/studio that will produce our film will most likely be Film4 Productions. This is because they have made a variety of indie movies based in the UK and they have also made a youth drama called Attack The Block which has the same target audience as we do. Therefore, Film4 Productions will be our institution/studio.

The distribution company we will produce a title sequence for is Studio Canal. This reason because they have been the distribution company of the youth drama Attack The Block and many other UK indie films. Hence the reason we have chosen to be distributed by them.

Film4 Productions

Studio Canal

Planning- Font styles and typeface

Due to our type of film (drama/thriller) we wanted to have a font style that matches. Within the group we took some inspiration from this font styles from other movies.

Research-Summarising Garageband

Garageband summary

To create sound/music in Garageband, it is very complex but easy when you understand how to use it. First, you must get rid of the sound from the clip that you have dragged onto the software. Then, you decide what types of sound layers you would like to include.
These can be:
  • Music
  • Foley Sound
  • Voice Over
  • Sound Effects
  • Motif
  • Dialogue
This is the interface of the software named Garageband:

To add sounds, there is a library of sample tracks. These can be used in any way you like corresponding to your track. These can simply dragged in to the area to create sound.

Research-Garageband tutorial

This is our garageband tutorial title sequence.
We made this using garageband.
We included music, sound effects. foley sound and motif.

Research - Evaluation (The Breakfast Club)

During my time of filming our remake of The Breakfast Club, I endured quite a few problems which easy to solve in a matter of seconds. For example some of the props used in the actual film wasn't available to get hold off, so we thought of using other equipment that may look quite similar as the one shown in the opening title sequence of the film.
Another aspect of something that was a hindrance to us but didn't really effect us that much was the time we had to finish the remake, this is because we had several ideas on how to create the film but the time managed to go quicker then we thought which on another day now that we have experience wouldn't effect us in the slightest.
Overall I think our group did okay and the good quality standard remake we done outlined how great we are working as a team to fulfil this task as best as we could of have done on the day.

Research-Evaluation Of Breakfast Club Remake-

Evaluation of remake of
The Breakfast Club

I think that our remake of the The Breakfast Club went very well at times. This is because we had very good shots and we also had some that seemed unprofessional. I believe that if we had more time to film the remake, the final product would've been much better. I also believe that the remake could have been better if we had better actors  because that would've made it better. Overall, I believe that the remake was good but could be much better.
