our core target audience is 16-18
b. Who is your wider target audience?
young adults or 21+
c. how will you attract your audience?
since we are an independent film company to release our film we could go to film festivals to get a larger audience. Also in the film we will include teenage actors as it is for teenagers.
d. how will you address them in your title sequence?
we will address them in our audience by it being relatable e.g. being misunderstood and feeling trapped. in the title sequence we will have fast moving motions which will attract the audience.

What type of title sequence is it? - The pitch (2)

A. Do you intend to have a discrete, stylised, narrative or animated titile sequence?
We intend to have a narrative title sequence as we will have a voice over and we intend to show what happens in the plot during the title sequence.
B. What real title sequence have you looked and which ones have influenced you?
We have watched Donnie Darko which has influenced out plot of the story.
C. Do you intend to stick close to (conform) or challenge the conventions seen?
We intend to challenge these conventions as we didn't want to make it the same as Donnie Darko.

1) The film

a. What is the title of your film?
The title of our film is Visions
b. What's the treatment?
The film is about a young boy who has a mental illness. He claims he is able to see how people will die but no one else can. His mother becomes increasingly worried and takes her son to the doctor who suggests putting him into a mental asylum. The mother disagrees and tries to help her son alone at home which has serious consequences.

The outline for the opening sequence is that a mother and a doctor have a meeting about the mother's son who she believes has a mental illness. We see the boy writing in a book recording all the deaths that he has seen. We then see him in a classroom separated from other students and we see him exit. Then he is in a park and sees a woman die and he finds out it was just a vision and the title sequence ends with the boy writing in his notebook.

Summarise how to create titles in Motion

When using Motion to create an animated title sequence I added the different information.

Research- Summarising Motion

Motion

Motion is a very simple tool to use for creating high-quality titles for films. It is very easy to use.

For Motion, you first have to choose from a variety of templates and some of these are very good templates that are very eye-catchy.
Then you can customize everything from where the text is, what the text says and what color, size and font the text is.
From the pictures below you can see some basic templates I have made using Motion.

Research- Summary Of Motion

When you click the motion icon this screen will appear that will come up with four options. First you'll want to click the third screen that will then show you the library of all the templates you can use.
This is library that has a full range of templates that you can use to create titles. Once you have chosen the title, you'll be able to change/customise the text size/font and either colour.
This is ta screenshot of what happens once you have clicked on your chosen template. Here you can see I have edited the text to visions, you'll be able to add any text you would like.

As I was getting to know the basics of Motion, I managed to create idents by editing the texts that was in the template.
