This is evident with David Fincher's movie, Se7en. In this, originally for the title, the producer was going to be Mark Romanek, but Fincher chose Cooper over Romanek for the title. This was important because Cooper's intro is considered one of the best and it would've been different if it wasn't by him. This shows that the relationship is important.
