In the media or film industry genre is defined to be the type of movie itself. for example this consist of either an Adventure, Comedy, Horror, Rom-Com, Sci-fi etc.
For my coursework I'll be looking specifically at the genre: Teen Drama, these types of movies usually are aimed to be for teens or young adults or even both. The storyline of these specific films are usually based on people who are roughly the same as their desired target audience which therefore shows that it's for teens who are coming of age. Typical locations that are generally used in Teen Dramas are in young teens areas e.g. the children's bedroom, schools, parks etc.
